Triumph for Triumph?

It was such a thrill to be part of the attempt to create a new Guinness World Record for the largest number of Triumph motorbikes in a single parade. On a Bonneville and a Speed Triple we joined the throng organised by Staffordshire Triumph.
My husband and I were on the Triumph Bonneville (named 'Wiggins') and my daughter went on the back of her boyfriend's Speed Triple (named 'Amor'). The thrill as over 400 engines revved up and began the parade can hardly be described! The rules were very precise: there could be no more than two bikes gap in any part of the group and we could only travel between 10 - 20 mph so as to properly count as a 'parade' and also to be verified and photographed. The results are now being processed - I hope we did it!
My daughter rides a Suzuki (named 'Iphegenia' after a butterfly and to also tie in with the maid's name from the opera 'Madame Butterfly,' so she couldn't take part in the record attempt. As soon as the short parade was over though she jumped straight back onto her own bike for the rest of the day.
It was a good opportunity for me to catch a quick 'hello' with my youngest son, who moved to Anglesey not too long ago. He was working on a stand with the great guys from @Mugs4U. In previous years I've held a garden party for my birthday but this year it was a great day out at the bike show and we still managed to grab a bite to eat as we wandered around the show!
