Back on the road!

Woohoo! The sun is shining and I'm back out on the bike with hubby! I don't really go in for holidays, I find that I don't enjoy myself so much and feel like I have to work extra hard to make sure that I'm having a good time and can justify the expense. However, I do really, really enjoy spur of the moment trips out - especially on the bike.
Our favourite biking rendezvous is Buxton. It's not too far away, but just far enough to feel like a real change in Geography and enough miles to put daily chores far from my mind. I love the Victorian architecture there too. The little Opera House is where I took my hubby to see his first opera. (It's an acquired taste but he was up for the venture.)
Our British Racing Green Triumph Bonneville is named "Wiggins" - a jolly British name for a jolly British bike. He always gets some attention and we're usually stopped for a chat by some biker at heart.
I was once told that if, after parking up, you don't turn back to look at your bike you've chosen the wrong one. We always glance back as we walk away…
