How to Draw a Bass Clef For Music Theory Notation Beginners with Sharon Bill

Welcome to my Music Theory Tutorials. In this video I show you how to draw a Bass Clef. The bass clef is used to notate the bass guitar line of all of your favourite pop songs. It is associated with the lower portion of the piano keyboard and it represents instruments and voices that are low in pitch, such as the bass guitar, the bassoon, the cello or the tenor and bass voice. The treble Clef is one of the easiest symbols ti draw in music theory and features on many music related merchandise items.

I have been teaching music theory for over twenty five years and I’ll help you every step of the way - just as if you were sitting next to me. I have provided free a PDF information booklet with all the information you’ll need to work through the Grade 1 ABRSM Music Theory in Practise workbook, available in A4 and US Letter.

Music Theory is an integral part of any musician’s studies. Understanding the structures behind the music we play supports our practise and performance. Even if you don’t play an instrument understanding how music is constructed helps us to be a more informed listener.

I LOVE music theory! It’s like peeling back the layers of the music to look at the nuts and bolts that hold it all together and make the music work.
